Hello,
Asking questions here on the list will help you immensely.
As far as the passport hard drive goes,
you would transfer files as you normally do, which is by going to the file manager, pressing m for move and then choose the drive that the files are on and then choose the drive you want to move them to and you will be in good shape. Yes, you can read files on the hard drive, without any problem, this is done by pressing keyword then o for open and choosing the drive, and then the folder, and then the file you want to open. Lastly, I just checked my hard drive, and it works the same as it did with prior keysoft versions in the mpower, now that I have ks 7 it is still working just fine. If you have any further questions, you can always write to the list, but you can write me off list as well and I will do my best to help you.
Robert

Subject: Re: [Braillenote] Hard drives and Floppy drives?

Hello Robert,
Thank you for your message.
I'll try my floppy drive and see what happens.
As to the Transport Hard Drive, I was considering one. However,
I have't a clue how to use it.
For example,
 * How would I move files to that drive?
 * How would I read the files on the external hard drive?
* WHen not in use, do you have to keep in connected to the
Mpower?
* When KS Version 7.0 is released, will anything change with
regard to using an external hard drive?
(As you can see, I'm not very knowledgeable! Unfortunately, I
strongly suspect that I'm not alone.)
