Subject: [Braillenote] BN Question

I have a student who is attempting to complete his history fair
project bibliography in his BrailleNote...
The problem we are coming accross is that computer braille is not
translated correctly when printed for his sighted teacher. Also when accessing the format menu with dots, 2, 3, 4, 6 and space (aka "the" chord) the machine will not allow us to go to U for underline so that he may underline the title of the book or the article.
Does anyone have an idea that worked well for them in this
situation? THe student could always do the bibliography in Microsoft Word but he likes the freedom of being able to work on it anywhere he is with the BN.

Thanks Again !
Kimberly & Casper (the wonderdog) =-)

I didn't mean it to be sharp, but you do me it that way. Please
lighten up!

Mike, why don't you let Humanware decide whether it's worthwhile
advice and work on that ax you think you have to grind somewhere
else. I would be willing to bet that neglecting to mention the
fact that one can't upgrade to keysoft 7 with the classic alone
was an oversight, and that they appreciate it being brought to
their attention.

Subject: [Braillenote] suggestions and thoughts

Hi, folks: I have a few thoughts, some of which could be
classified as hindsight, but some of which could be implemented
now. I think this new upgrade has a great deal of potential.
I'm excited about the prospect of having it. However, I'm not at
all excited about having to have help in getting it. I would
have been a lot happier if someone in Customer Service had said,
"now, you have to have a PC (download this upgrade, since you
have a Classic. The way around it is to get the upgrade on a CF
card. Would you like to do that?". I would have answered in the
affirmative, and been happy with that solution. That should be
said anyone who has aa classic, and buys this upgrade. That way,
everyone is in posession of the same facts.
Another thing is that the instructions for the classic make it
sound as though you can do the entire process from your BN. In
fact, of course, you can't. So, they should be re-written,
making this very clear. One thing to keep in mind, (addressing
the HW staff) is that the more you guys make this unit resemble a
PC, the more you want it to be autonomous. That means that you
don't want to have to rely on a PC, if you don't have to.
well, that's my two cents, although, as much as I've written,
it's at least a quarter's worth. Let me again state, if I
haven't done so, that this is not at all meant as criticism, but
merely as some helpful suggestions. Thanks for reading. God
bless. Bob and Maxy-wax
