Kylee, I haven't been following your conversation because I temporarily

Actually, Kathleen, I'm just under 40 and relied completely on Braille.
But
then, I went to Homai which is the school for the blind here in NZ until
high school when we all had to type our assignments on those heavy old
Olympia typewriter which ere euphemistically called portable! (smiles)..
However, if you swung one of those (or even a Perkins) while traversing
busy
school thoroughfares, it sure helped clear the way.

Without meaning any offense, how heavily did you rely on braille growing
up? Unless you are over 55, I would hazzard a guess that you had tapes

readers in school.
