Hi Robert, it's important not to confuse downloading large e-mails with downloading using the web browser. There is no limitation on downloading using the web browser. many BrailleNote mPower users have successfully downloaded the upgrade using their BrailleNote mPowers. You can download as much as the storage media will take. Jonathan Mosen BrailleNote Product Marketing Manager HumanWare

And in fact, the ks 7 upgrade was 40 mb, and everytime I tried downloading, it locked up, and I finally looked and remembered that it was not going to download, so I did it on my pc, luckily for me, I have one, there are people without a pc, And I suppose the question, shouldn't be how many times would I want to download a file of that size, it should be what would give the end user the greatest amount of flexibility in this unit, and if it is allowing us to select where the image of a downloaded file is so that we can download what we want, then that makes this utit even greater. I hope this gives you some insight to why I think we should have a choice for the downloaded image. These are just my opinions, and are in no way to put anyone down, or upset anyone, so I hope it is taken inpositive terms.
