Thanks when I told my husband who is a sort of data base guru about the
problem he laughed and told me that is normal behavior, and I looked at a
couple today  and I think I will get a lot of use out of the recipe one if I
can get all mine on the mPower.  However, I might have to but a USB hard
drive before I start that project.  Keying them in is not going to be fun
either.

Rose,

These are database definition files which describe the fields within a
particular database and their characteristics.  YOu need to create the
database itself by 
answering yes to the question and then you can add/lookup/whatever.  

It's similar to the keylist databases when you try to access them for the
first time if you've ever had to delete and recreate one.
