Yes I have done that but I have gotten so spoiled in having the letters
spoken as I type that I want them on. I spent nearly 45 years of my life not
hearing the letters spoken when I typed so having them speak is still new
even after 6 years.

I am a fast typist too, and although I don't have a QWERTY BN because the
keyboard was not available when I first got mine, and I hear it is small,
when I am typing I turn off the speech for the keyboard, if I did not I'd go
crazier than I already am!

Good Idea. I simply use the elloquence when reading books and the other when
I type.
I am extremely fast on my qwerty so need something which will keep up with
me.

Subject: [Braillenote] a couple suggestions
Hi all. Well, I'm really enjoying the new release. I do have a couple
suggestions for the next one, and they both relate to using the
eloquence speech. First, it would be nice to be able to have separate
speech settings for the keynote speech and the eloquence speech. This
way you could switch between them and not have to change the rate and
pitch each time. Also, I'm
noticing with the eloquence speech, when typing fast, it takes a second or
2
for the letters to be spoken, then the rate increases to keep up. This
works
a bit better with the keynote speech, so it might be nice to have a
setting
to leave the speech rate the same all the time while typing.
