Hi Jim,
I recorded from the fm radio and it came out of both channels.
I usually havemy bit rate set to high quality when using the internal microphone. The sampling rate is medium quality.
Hope this helps.

Subject: [Braillenote] Recorder Observations

Hello all,

I would say all is reasonably well with my BN M-power recorder.
I did notice a couple of things though.

I'm pleased the record settings don't go back to defaults when
one does a reset. They seem to remainin place which is a good thing!

I do notice a bit of white noise when I'm recording but it
doesn't interfere much with what I'm trying to record. It is adequate for my voice and simply recording audio voice information.

I noticed that my record level was still at eight when I recorded
a few test memos which sounded quite good. I think my recorder sounded much better at level ten which use to be the default level. I notice now the highest level is 15 instead of twelve. When I try to record at level 15, I barely get any audio whatsoever. It goes back to that fuzzy sound but barely have any level at all.

When listening back to my recording with headphones, I notice I
hear it in the left channel, not equally well in both sides of the headphones. Is this normal? When recording the FM radio, I only hear it through the left channel rather than through both channels equally well. It doesn't come out in stereo. Is this normal?

I'd appreciate any observations many of you who use your recorder
might have on these matters. I'm still trying to determine whether my unit still needs to be sent in. I hope not.

Do take care and thanks much for your thoughts!

Jim Aldrich
