I agree with you. I figured they had to be a way to play the older memos though. I guess the way I came up with is the only way.

Good job of detective work. Your workaround or whatever you wish
to call it is a good one. I really like that feature of being able to jump out of the memo into
an address list or whatever though, as it really makes the memo
feature even more valuable.
