This is Joseph. Even though a new version of Windows
for BrailleNote is released, whether BN will support
OCR (scanning feature) depends on whether that OS
supports that feature. For example, Windows CE 2.12
that was basis for KeySoft 3.x to 5.x did not support
USB functionality. In Windows CE 4.2, which is the
basis for KeySoft 6.x and 7.0, it supports USB
functionality (except on BN Classic where the hardware
is not upgraded to support it.). I hope this
information may help you.
