Hi Penny,

Extensive use of your wireless card should not wear it out. Some cards do fail
after a while, but this may just be due to poor quality control by the card
manufacturer or some other factor. But, the MPower should not wear out your
card.

Humanware does advise removing the card when you're not using it, but this is
primarily to avoid excessive drain on the battery and also it's a good idea to
remove the card if you need to do a reset.

I'm sure a wireless card can wear out over time from repeated insertion and
removal from the unit, but whether this is related to the number of times you
put it
in or take it out of the MPower is really hard to tell.

Maybe it will be easier to know more about this after the unit has been on the
market for a few more months and a lot more cards have gone through
extensive use.

But, if you really use your card a lot and do rely on it, it might not be a bad
idea to save up some money and get an extra one to keep around as a spare just
in case.

How do you like that for a hedging answer? <smile>
