At this tile, the BookShare service is only applicable for US residents. Joseph, by the above, do you mean that the utility itself is unusable by a person in the UK, or just that the Bookshare service is not available to a UK resident? There seems to be some confusion here, (which could just be me, <Smile>), so I'm trying to get it straight in my head. Are you saying a UK resident couldn't use the Bookshare utility to unzip, say, a file from Project Gutenberg? Thanks. Good suggestion. I think this should be grouped under the submenu called "zip file manager." It can include what others had said e.g. compression and uncompression of zip files, ability to add and delete files in the .zip archive or the archive itself, etc. I have another idea. Perhaps the .zip files can be treated as a directory in KeySoft once compression utility is introduced. p.s. Perhaps have a couple of items off the file manager: "Compress Files" and "Uncompress File". The Uncompress item is simple: upon selection is asks for the source file (*.zip), asks for the destination folder, and unzipps, after which is prompts the user to delete the zip file to free up disk space. The compress option could work like attachments, I.E.: Select Source file, then prompt "Select another file?" If yes, go back and select another file. If a "*" is entered at the file prompt, the entire folder is compressed and there is no further prompt. Finally the BN could ask for the destination (*.zip) file, and the process is finnished. Thoughts? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mike Welty" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, February 08, 2006 5:04 PM Subject: [Braillenote] zip files Hey all, I think the Braillenote should have a unzipping program or something simiq. A lot of files are compressed in zip form and the BN won't unzip them anymore. ______________________________________________________________________ This email has been scanned by the MessageLabs Email Security System.
