This is Joseph. I think it is caused by the IE engine used in KeySoft 5.x
and earlier. It is fixed in KeySoft 6.x. I think someone with KeySoft 6.x
and 7.0 might be able to give you the precise information. I hope this
information may help you.
P.S. If it says that it is caused by data misallignment, it is probably
caused by CSS (standing for
Content Style Sheet).

Subject: [Braillenote] weird occurence in a search

Hi listers!
I have a question for you folks out there, and especially for those who can
whisper in computer's (including the bn's ears so speak, and get them to do
miraculous things.
I went to the search engine "Dogpile" www.dogpile.com and tried to search
for a book which is supposed to come out sometime this month as an ebook and
maybe a print book which I hope someone would put on Bookshare!
Anyway, and this is a warning to anyone who might want to test this, it gave
me several links, the first of which is some kind of adult club or
something, I didn't open the link, just went down the list.
(By the way, I'm using a bt with 5.1 build 22.) The book title is "To kiss
or to kill", and the bn read me the first item in the links list, which was
this club or whatever.
It then stopped, however, and when I hit the spacebar to go to the next
link, I got a looping error message which started with the error alert tone
followed by "Error, edit modal, data missalinement."
I couldn't stop it with any key stroke, the only way I could get out of it
was to do a reset.
I checked to see if this happened on other searches and they all went ok.
When I tried the same title later, thinking it might have been a glitch, the
same thing happened.
All other searches with this engine work fine for me.
What's this edit modal missalinement stuff and is there a way to get around
it?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Richard, puzzled
