Hi All: More information on my Address List Synchronization Problem. I'm running a Braillenote M-Power with Keysoft Version 6.2. I have Microsoft Active Sync Version 3.8 on my PC. I am still having problems with syncronizing my address list with Outlook XP which is running on the PC under Windows XP Home.
Here is what happens. When I connect to active sync with my partnership set up such that none of the boxes for syncing calendar, contacts, ETC are checked, it connects just fine. I go to utilities and press "s" for synchronization. I get the Keysync menu and select "synchronize now." My keysync setup is set to synchronize just my contacts at this time since I don't want to sync my planner. When I select "Synchronize now," Keysync connects and says it is syncing contacts. I get a message on the PC from Outlook that a program is trying to access my address book and it asks if I want to allow this. I check the box to allow this and allow it for 10 minutes. Keysync then gives me the percentage progress indicator telling me it is synching contacts. When it is done, if I go into my address list and select "lookup addresses" I see blank database records but none of the fields are populated. If I try space bar to go through a record, I hear "end of list." It looks like Keysync is able to reference both the first and last name fields in Outlook and the first and last name fields in the Keylist address list record. I know this because if I put someone into my address list on the BN with the same name as someone in my outlook address book, Keysync sees the duplicate and asks what I want to do about it. Also, if Keysync tries updating any of my outlook records, it creates the records and populates no data in them. Is there a Keysync patch I can download or a setting in Outlook I need to check to see if it is set correctly? Any help would be apreciated. The M-Power I'm using is one I am borrowing while my Braille Display transplant is being done and I want to put my outlook address list into it temporarily so I have my e-mail addresses with me. I'm borrowing the M-Power I use for help desk support at work, so yes, I can download patches to it if I need too.
