Hi, Miranda

These are text adventure games, such as you might have come across by
Infocom.  You'll get a good illustration if you go to the Keysoft 7-0
website and download Jonathan's tutorial on the games and how to play them
on BN.

There's a programme called Winfrotz Interpreter which you can use to play
those same games on your PC.  It's free from sites like:
www.whitecane.co.uk
