Sarah v; Can you briefly tell me what you are telling him how to do. The site you are using is the library or web braille site. Isn't book share the one you have to pay to be a member of? Terry Powers

I seem to be experiencing Internet problems right now, so that is why I'm not testing as I write. I was just going to submit a book to bookshare, but the bookshare homepage doesn't load at all. In the browser enter the address http://www.loc.gov/nls and press enter. When the page loads either hit S or do a find for the word search. You want the search the catalog link, but it won't be the first thing you find. Press enter on the link when you find it. Now when that page loads you will want to hit m, which will take you to the multiple term search link. Press enter on it. When the page loads use space with dots 4-6 to take you to the first form control. It will be a radio button to select the type of record display you would like. You want to choose the second option "full record display," because that will give you the synopses given for the book on bookshare. Keep using space with dots 4-6 to move to and fill out the rest of the fields. You will have three search criterion to fill in. You don't have to use them all, though. Make sure you write bookshare in one of the edits and leave the combo-box for that field set to any keyword. That should be all that is necessary to look at books from bookshare with synopses. Just remember that you will have to login to bookshare before you can download any books you select, so you will press enter on the link to take you to the book's download page, then press L to find the login link. Once you have logged in use the Enter with B command to go back until you get the book download page again. Write if you need more help and hopefully my Internet will be working properly and I can help.
