Mr. Lomeli:

What I did was download the version I wanted (the NIV, in my case) from BookShare.org. I then opened it with my BN, and did a search for Genesis. Once there I looked at the pattern: each book starts with book 1. E.G. Genesis 1. This meant I could just type in "(book name) 1" as my search string, and, for the most part, it would bring me to the start of that book. I marked that as the top of a block. I then searched for the next book and went up a line until I found the end of the previous one. I marked the bottom of the block here, and went to the "Store block" command in the Block Commands Menu. I selected the drive and folder like normal, and named the file, in this case, Genesis. (Saved under /compactflash/bible/niv/old/Genesis). This worked pretty well, but somehow some of the information in the NIV was missing. I also recommend deleting each book as you save it, as this helps later on because the file size goes down. If you have a classic, this may be a difficult undertaking, and it will probably freeze, as mine did. If you reset it, you should still have the whole file, but all the books you had already saved and deleted will return, at least as far back as the last time you saved. An easier way of saying this is that any changes to the document will be erased, but the text will still be there, just more than you would need sometimes.

Hope this helps, but keep in mind you can probably find pre-separated versions out there.

Have a great day,
Alex

I cannot remember who had it, but is there any way I could get a
copy of the Bible as well? I downloaded one from BookShare and
spent hours (with a classic) dividing it into testaments and
books. I got my MPower and backed up the CF I used for all work,
including the Bible, so I could just restore it to my MPower's
bigger Flash Disk. Somehow, almost all of the Bible folder (plus
my Civil Air Patrol folder) disappeared.

Anyway, is it possible for me to get a copy of that ZIP file?

Thank you,
Alex
