This is Joseph. The 5 star thing is called WEP key (short for Wire-Equivalent Privacy). Many routers and access points use it for security purposes. Ther are two types: 5 characters, or 13 characters. There is a stronger version called WPA. Currently BrailleNote supports WEP, not WPA. Note: you need to enter the key exactly (in this case, key means the string of characters that forms the WEP code), inclduing upper and lower case letters and numbers.
