This is Joseph. The 5 star thing is called WEP key (short for
Wire-Equivalent Privacy). Many routers and access points use it for security
purposes. Ther are two types: 5 characters, or 13 characters. There is a
stronger version called WPA. Currently BrailleNote supports WEP, not WPA.
Note: you need to enter the key exactly (in this case, key means the string
of characters that forms the WEP code), inclduing upper and lower case
letters and numbers. I hope this information may help you.

I get that message sometimes too, and it has almost driven me to utter
madness many a time.  BN says "five stars" as a default.  
My WEP key is 12 characters long, and it needs all 12.  I know of
24 character ones, too.  Try putting in the entire key, keeping in mind that
capitalization DOES DOES MATTER.

Hope it works out, and try to refrain from sending your MPower on a trip
across the room.
