This is Joseph. Any device that uses USB connection like thumb drives must
be plugged into the USB host ports (there are two of them just right of the
serial port.). The small plug just above the SD slot is only used for
ActiveSync. hope this information may help you.
P.S. The USB plug just above the SD slot is smaller then USB ports on the
right of the serial port.
