I spoke to Humanware the other day about the costs of transplanting and version 7and received the following.
If your customer has a BN running KeySoft 6 and ordered a transplant in December the price was $1995. If she wants to purchase KeySoft 7 the price is $195. Any new transplant orders that we receive now cost $2195 and include KeySoft 7 = thus $1995 for transplant and $195 for KS 7. It would be better for the customer that has ordered the transplant in December to purchase an electronic SMA for $145 as we consider the purchase of a transplant similar to buying a new product. By purchasing a new SMA, she would receive both KS 7 and the next KeySoft release. I hope you think this if fair and clear. I look forward to seeing you at CSUN. I think it was a bit confusing as I have customers who purchased transplants back before version 7 and now they will have to pay more money.
