Mona,
Unfortunately I can't answer your question but there have been
countless
occasions in which I have needed both a definitive dictionary and
a
Spanish-English dictionary which does not have to be accessed
through the
web and can preferably be installed on the BrailleNote. If no
such thing
exists, I would like to propose it as a suggestion for a future
release of
Keysoft. It would be interesting to hear whether others on this
list have
also experienced the need for such a program.

This is Joseph. There is a utility called Scandisk. It checks
for
the
integrity of a storage device. Every time a computer boots,
Scandisk (more
specifically, CheckDisk utilty) checks for the errors on the
storage
defice(s). Same thing here. You don't have to worry about it
since you have
Classic unit, but Jonathan Mosen just posted that PK machines
(I'm not sure
whether it applies to mPower as well) runs Scandisk utility to
check the CF
card for errors. I hope this information may help you.

Why should you take the cards out before switching on?
I have not been doing that with my compact flash card.
Angie.
