As there's been a huge amount of mail on battery issues lately (not least my own difficulties with a new machine), I am compelled to think that HW's top priority needs to be to resolve this issue before any other. After all, a portable device with either an unstable battery or a barely useable one is not a device that is at all useful. While the data loss issue is annoying (and indeed I used to hear of people getting their new classic and the flash disk going pear-shaped just weeks after), a device without easily useable or stable power is less than an ornament. Just my thoughts.
