Penny, you can scan for a connection. From Main Menu, press O,
C, W. You'll probably see the prompt, "wireless ethernet on"?
Press Y. You can press S to scan for a network. Press Enter
when you see a listing. You'll see "Entry name?" You can give it
a name, and press E chord. Hopefully, this will work.

Subject: [Braillenote] To find any available network
I would like to be able to find a network when I am out and
about. Is there one universal file that could be used to find
any network available. Admittedly, I am a novice at this. I
have a network card which runs off the router in my home. But I
am at a college today and there might be a network, if only I had
a link. Could a universal sort of file be loaded by the user to
find such networks? If this is totally off the wall and out in
the high weeds, do please forgive my abysmal ignorance.
Best,
Penny
P.S. I, for one, have appreciated what I have learned on the
list. I always appreciate a kind tone. I hate trouble of any
sort in our communications.
