It sounds like a file list would be a lot easier to navigate. Go to your list and if you want Let There Be Pease, just hit L and you should be in the group of songs starting with L. If I have the method right and you keep them in alphabetical order, how much easier can it get. You are navigating your list of songs almost like you navigate your address book.

Hi Jim, You could stick with what you have or you could try creating a database and see which really works out best for you. You would probably want the song title as the primary key so you could search for the song you want quickly. Since you want to include the text of the song you would want to define that field as document type. This would allow you to edit it if needed just as you would in keyword. Also, other field types such as string are limited to 255 characters, but I don't see a limitation for the length of fields defined as document. You might try creating a database and just add in a few records to see if it will work for you. Also, if you needed to search by composer or some other criteria, it would be easy to accomplish with a database. You probably really should experiment though before you commit yourself to it.
