Neet idea Martha!  The dots already vibrate when you exercise them, so it 
should not be all that hard a feature to create.  You might put a vibrater in 
the earphone jack and the person could have the small vibrater near him, such 
as in a pocket and be able to feal the vibration.  this way you would not have 
to have your hands on the display constantly.  People might like this method 
for a wake up call.  It would only wake you, not those around you.  
Think about it Humanware.  I have a hearing problem, myself and have to use an 
amplifier on my phone at work.  I sure notice the difference at home!

What if there was a choice in the alarm options where one could just
have vibrate instead of a sound.  They have that choice on cell phones,
maybe it can be considered in Angie's situation and others for tht
matter.
