Dear List,

The BN has given us an excellent way to read documents in braille without
needing to use paper and I applaud it wholeheartedly.

But I would suggest that a paper copy of important documents should be
available. Why? If your BN is being repaired or the battery goes flat and
there is an unexpected power outage so you can't recharge the battery, you
can still read your document in braille.

So, emboss any document you want to be able to read at all times.

You don't have an embosser? HumanWare sells embossers. Can't afford a new
one? There have been posts on the blindad list people selling used
embossers.

I have experienced power outages lately that's why this subject has come to
my mind. I cannot emboss every file, but the most important ones will be
embossed.

You say you use speech only? Then record your important files onto tape.
