Well, I had actually never given that number any real thought. But, going
and looking further at the list archives, although I didn't spend a great
deal of time there, but it looks like the links are set up to kind of
correspond with the message number. Those numbers at the end start off real
small near the beginning of the list archives, and then get bigger near the
end--same number of digits in the numbers, just larger numbers. For
example, the first message I saw in the archives was dated October 24 of
2003, and that number, after the October, is 000002. And, this message that
you sent me today is dated March 3 with a number of 044476. And, oh, yes,
guess the messages must show up in the archives just a bit out of order, as
I did see the 000001 message in October of 2003 a message or two below the
000002.

Vicky;
I have never used arcives before and was going to save your e-mail so I
would have the site. What is the meaning of the number after January?

Dean Jackson addressed a similar error in a
message a while back. So, although I certainly don't claim to know if this
would be exactly the same in your case, as you didn't mention getting the
entire error given in the prior message, but you might check out this link
from
the
January list
archives for his message to see if this helps:
