Hello. The disk drive did recover itself but the files were gone. I take it 
to mean that it didn't backup the files. I don't understand why it did it 
unless the drive is bad. No other indication thatit was.

If you lost your files, they are probably gone forever.
I wonder if Humanware would consider including a 64 MB compact flash
card with the PK so everyone has the ability from the get go to back
up their files?
Otherwise, everyone needs to know that they should buy a compact
flash card before putting anything on the BrailleNote that they don't
want to risk loosing.
