I ran into a problem just like this with two of the eleven CF cards I own.
I know that at least one of those two cards did work on my previous
VoiceNote. The only work around I found was to put the offending CF card
into a pcm-cia adapter sleeve and insert it in the right side slot of my
mPower. There it seems to work fine. The other nine cards work in either
slot with no problem.
