I had wondered about the french braille option as well. I have it on mine. I never tried to play with it though.

Hi Alex,

This option should only be on our French based BrailleNotes (the VarioNote)
or our Canadian French based BrailleNotes.  To satisfy curiosity though,
this setting basically governs how French grade 1 and 2 (their equivalents),
are displayed.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and I will log a task in our
database to have this rectified.

I know about the serial number issue; I've been frustrated by it
before.  The option is "French Braille Language?" under the
Braille Display Options list.  Why is French an option? It just
seems like a really random thing, to just pick a language without
asking the user, I mean.  Does that option mean my BN can talk
French? If so, can I change it to Spanish?
