Hello Tom,
I believe in the US, that the only bluetooth receiver available is the Blue Logger, but I am sure that Mike or others can confirm or correct that statement. As far as the turning on and off of the blue Logger, I don't really have a lot of problems with it. I hold down the on button for about 3 seconds and then I turn on the braillenote, go to options, connectivity, bluetooth and pair the receiver. As soon as it says paired, I go back to the main menu, and press n for the gps and g and very quickly, I will get a message saying gps detected. When I am done, and want to turn off the receiver, I hold down the button for a few seconds, and I will get the message bluetooth receiver not detected, and I know that it is off and I can exit out of the gps menu. Whatever you decide, I am sure you will be pleased with not having to worry about cables anymore.
Robert

Subject: RE: [Braillenote] gps

Hi folks,
I recently got my MPower transplant and replaced my GPS software.
It's working great but it's time to get rid of the wires. I've
heard about the Blue Logger bluetooth GPS receiver and may get
one, but I've heard that it can be hard to tell whether the Blue
Logger is turned on or off. That could be a problem. Before I
spring for a Blue Logger I just thought I'd check: are there
other bluetooth GPS receivers out there besides the Blue Logger
that are reliable and easy to use with BrailleNote GPS?
What does Sendero have to say about these alternatives? Just
curious.
Thanks,
Tom
