I have used 3 different gps receivers with my PK, and without
doubt, the best of the 3 is the one I am at present using. It is
the Holux receiver and has written on it: "Holux slim", and on
the rear, the number 236. Not only is it considerably smaller,
fitting easily into a top pocket of my jacket, from which it
performs admirably, but the switching is more positive, there is
a definite on and off position of the switch. However, almost
more importantly, it appears to be more sensitive. It is the
only one of the 3 that will obtain satellite readings from my
kitchen; it is quicker in finding satellites when first turning
on. I recently checked it in Canada and found the results
equally good. I can't say what Sendero think about it; surely
they must have tested it. Perhaps a word with them would prove
beneficial.
