Yes, the NFB has a loan program, I currently have one and that is how I
was able to aford my transplant.
The max is $3,000 and you can set it up for a one, two, three or four year
payback at three percent.

The NFB has a loan program. I think its max is 3 or 4 thousand.
This would be a great help to someone buying a new unit. I do not
remember the interest rate, but it is rather low.

I realize mpower is horribly expensive to just plunk down. And
this question may not be germane to the list. But are there
low-cost loan programs for such things for the blind? Could some
of you who would love the m-power manage to pay back a lo-cost
loan for it within, say, two years? Just asking. If it's too far
