Hello Terry,
It sounds to me, like those drives are probably drives specific
to a pc.
What you would want to look for, are external usb drives.
I can tell you that Western Digital has a line called the
Passport, there are 40 gb, 60 gb, 80 gb, and 120 gb that do not
need ac power, as far as I know, anything over that, will need ac
power supply so it will not be as portable.
I hope this helps.
Robert

drive?
So far, the messages have helped me to understand that the BN can
use USB
drives.
But I was looking at a web site which had some USB drives and I
was confused
because it said the drives were "plug and play" and that you
needed Windows
to use them.

: Hello,
: With the mpower, you can use usb hard drives, usb thumb drives,
: and other peripherals that are operated by usb.
: They do not need software, but they must be able to operate off
: their own power, for the mpower is not going in many cases to
: have enough power to drive them.
: In the case of the western Digital 80 gb hard drive, it is
meant
: to operate off the usb so the mpower does not have a problem
with
: it. Though, it is a bit slow at times.
: I hope this helps you.
