Angie, I use the copy and paste quite a bit, and it does leave me in the Block 
Commands Menu so I can press the c to copy data to the clipboard. I have never 
had to go back into the Menu to press the letter c before. If I were you, I'd 
just do what your machine wants you to do. So, if your machine leaves you in 
the Menu, then just press the letter you want and let the BN do what it does 
best. I have the classic BNQT and am running KS5.1 build 22 right now, with the 
speech on request because I like to use only the braille display for reading. I 
only use speech when I'm on the Internet. Maybe those running the latest 
version of Keysoft have a different way of doing these things due to the 
software changes. I don't know, though. So do what is best for your situation.
