Hi list,
This is Joseph. For folks who wants to use USB with ActiveSync:
1. Go to Utilities/Miscellaneous options. At the ActiveSync connection
prompt, cycle through the list until you see USB. Press enter and exit the
list.
2. At the PC end, if you don't have ActiveSync 3.8 or earlier, install
now.
If you have it, go to File/Connection. At the window that apearsz, make
sure
that the item that says, "allow USB connection to this computer" checkbox
is
checked. Exit the window.
3. On the PC, go to File/Get Connected. Press enter on Next item. Note:
before you do this, make sure that the USB cable is connected on both
ends.
4. On the BN, at the Utilities menu, select Connect to ActiveSync using
USB.
Both devices should recognize each other.
I hope this information may help you.

how to set it up on the laptop with usb and active sync?
Thanks again and you can write me off list if that would be better.

This is Joseph. The drop of battery capacity is normal. When you see
the message that the battery capacity is about 500-800, then you
should consider replacing it. Yes, you can use USB with your laptop. I
hope this information may help you.

Subject: [Braillenote] my last few messages
Hi everyone on the list. I have sent a few messages out regarding my
battery concerns and getting some off list help if possible for for
active sync with my MPower and my laptop through USB and I wondered if
anyone received the messages. I know there are a lot of messages
daily but no one has gotten in touch with me and I wondered if it was
because the messages weren't received or no one knows how to help. If
know one does know how then I will try to figure out another way the
messages I received a month ago when I first got my bn I followed them
but they didn't work. I know this topic has been talked about a lot
that is why I asked for off the list assistance if that would be
easier. And if know got the messages your not going to know what I am
talking about. I will try to explain this in a short way. My battery
use to charge up to a nominal charge of 1782 with a design capacity of
1800. Now it is charging up to 1732. Should I be concerned is this
normal, do I need to recalibrate my battery? The gage is accurate
plus or minus 2 percent. Lastly I want to use active if possible.
I have only a laptop with no serial port. Is it possible to use
active sync with my bn and laptop using USB? On list or off list
would be appreciated and sorry for the long message. Thanks in
advance, Malaina ___ To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank
