Dear Ann,

You could download web braille books to your PC then copy them onto a CF
card.

I agree with you. I never put anything on the flash disk--everything goes
onto CF cards.

There might be some external hard drives which could be used with a classic
but I'm not sure about that.

Another thing: the upgrades on classics go to the flash disk instead of rom,
don't they? That could be the reason why the flash disk is too full.

I just bought a 2GB CF card. I believe the classics can handle such cards.

I mainly use my classic as a braille display with WindowEyes. It works
great.

: Hi all,
:
: Roger, the problem I think we are having here is that many, many
: people tend to use their flash disks for storing things like books and
: so on, as well as files. I have nothing on my flash disk except the
: planner and the address book and one or two documents. All else is
: stored on either my flash cards or the disk drive.
:
: Some people may not know how to tell the BN to store books and such on
: anything other than the flash disk.
:
: I downloaded four books from BookShare today, and I didn't have to do
: a reset at all. That's because I told the BN to download them to my
: PC Card.
:
: I did, however have trouble, a lot of trouble on Web-Braille. I have
: also had trouble on other web sites where the pages are large. I
: think the BN can not cope with large amounts of text in memory. I've
: given up on Web Braille with the BN, frankly. It just doesn't work
: at all now.
