Jose, there's your problem. Your Email database needs a lot of rom to spread out when you're trying to download Email. Move stuff to CF cards. Delete as much Email as you can, empty the Email trash, free database space. Get it to where you have at least 6000000 bytes free on your flash disk. Then try again. Let me know how it works.
