Richard,
Interesting idea that of a corrilation between serial numbers that resulted in
the French Braille option and the problem of multiple files failing to
download. Now it would be good if everyone could check the braille options of
their braille note running KS 7 and report to the list if they experience the
downloading problem but do not have the French Braille option. We should know
whether that idea is correct with only a little bit of list traffic, and this
issue is already generating a large amount.

I didn't know from what you wrote in your other message about bookshare whether
you blamed copyright law or bookshare for the lack of access in other
countries. I want to assure everyone that whatever bookshare's failings might
be, they are in no way to blame for not providing their books to everyone. The
head of Benetec is really trying hard to find ways of doing so both by asking
publishers if they will give permission for their books to be shared worldwide
and by trying to find ways of getting the copyright laws of the U.S. and other
countries to be more agreeable in that area. So, bookshare is blameless when it
comes to inconvenient sharing policies and also in having anything at all to do
with the downloading problems people have had with their BrailleNotes.
