I just got a transplant from the Braille Note classic to the MPower. I teach
blind children, so do a LOT of embossing of materials. My old classic wouldn't
emboss on both sides of the paper, even though I set it up to do so in the
Embosser setup list, and my embosser is made to emboss on both sides of the
paper. I had no trouble with its doing so when I used a Braille Lite 40. I'd
like to know how I can fix this problem. Also, I used to emboss using a
parallel port. I am now trying to use the serial port because the Edgeport
converter is too expensive for me at this time. I set the embosser and Braille
Note for the serial port, and the embosser is working fine, except that, even
though I have set a page length of 25, there is no top margin on the pages that
I've embossed.

I've tried everything I know to fix these two problems, but nothing has worked
so far. I'd appreciate any advice anyone has!!! I even called tech support at
Hunanware about my machine's failure to emboss on both sides of the paper. The
person who left a message on my voicemail from tech support said, "It should
emboss on both sides of the paper if your embosser does that," or something to
that effect. I know my embosser is supposed to emboss on both sides of the
paper but it hasn't done so since I've gotten a Braille Note. Thanks again for
any help!!!!!

Deborah Prost emboss on both sides of the paper.
