As with you, the terminal part worked just fine, but not the emulator. And, for that matter, I couldn't get the Keynote synthesizer to work, either. As for the PDIHooks thing in the system tray, well, I'm certainly not technical about this; but, that is the name of one of the files that we install/unzip to our Jaws folder. So, maybe it is the driver that is used or something. Both of these programs still work for me in Jaws 7.0, though, so not sure what the difference is with the beta. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Alex Parks" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "BN Mailing List" <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, March 17, 2006 9:21 PM Subject: [Braillenote] Jaws and BN Hello all, Well, I am halfway there. Using the just-released Jaws 7.10 beta, I was finally able to select the proper com port for my bluetooth. The beta never showed up in the list to install the keynote driver, but with the full version I guess that will happen. My Braille terminal works beautifully, but, again, MY KEYBOARD EMULATOR DOES NOT WORK!!! What am I doing wrong, and what is this "PDIHooks button" in my system tray? Nothing happens when I press ENTER on it, but how did it get there? Sorry to keep harping on this, but this was a big reason for me getting both KS 7 and my bluetooth to USB adapter; I never imagined that such a publicized feature as the emulator would prove so impossible.
