I was a beta tester for Bookshare before it went live.
Passwords were and still are a requirement for unpacking books; unless
those books are in the public domain. That has been true since
Bookshare has been in existence. It's a fact, hard cold and true.
We could argue about whether the Earth is round or flat too, but I think
it would be off topic.

Mike, we all have lots of e-mails and you may have given severl a
cursory glance which is understandable. I know the difference
between downloading and unpacking. I have hundreds of books.
I'm being misinterpreted by you and Jonathan, for some reason.
It's simple. I understand why you need the password to get into
the systemgglog in, but I don't need it to download because I'm
already logged in. What I'm saying is (and thank you for your
interest or you wouldn't have responded) is that when I go to
unpack it, it says "password" and I've always been able to just
enter on that without putting it in. Maybe others have had to
put the password in when unpacking, but I've just entered on it
and it came up with the unpacked title, review options, etc.
Before Ks7, I've never had to put it in twice is all. I don't
intend to sound snippy, but this is a minor inccvenience. I'm
not putting down Humanware at all. I think others have had a
similar problem, I'm not sure. Thanks for reading. I still have
a lot to learn, but I feel Ks7 is aweness with many wonderful
features.
Nancy
