All of the GPS systems include points of interest, (POI's). Many are provided by the map vendor. These can include civic buildings, parks, college campuses, train stations, airports, and even some hotels and restaurants. Also, all of the systems allow for you to add your own. You can do this either by hitting a hot key when you are at the desired location, or by actually entering an address which is added to the database. When you get within a certain distance from the POI, the system will let you know. You can also query the system to tell you which POI's are near you, and how far away they are.
