No, Frank, you shouldn't be alarmed. Just recalibrate the battery.
Instructions on how to do that are listed in the index of the manual.
It gives step by step instructions. And, yes, you *do* plug in the AC
adaptor!
If you need help with this, let us know. The manual is clear, but
sometimes reading a manual isn't helpful if you don't understand what
l'deuce the thing is talking about.
