Deborah,
This was a feature that I was just waiting for when I received my
mPower and let me tell you it is a really great feature and it
really does open a new world of possibilities. In order to cory
a file from your computer to your thumb drive and allow it so you
can read it on your mPower is really easy. All you need to do is
copy the file and paste it onto the thumb drive, take the thumb
drive out, put it to to your mPower, open the file, and now you
have text automatically converted to Braille.
Horc this helps you and hope that you enjoy this feature.
Regards
Kevin

Subject: [Braillenote] Thumb Drives
Hi All,
I just bought a Sanddisk thumb drive that has 1 gigabyte of
storage. I was told that I could copy a file from the computer
onto the thumb drive and then read it in the MPower. That's
AWESOME to me
!!! I know it's probably old hat to lots of people on this list
but I didn't realize it before--that really opens up a whole
world of reading things in Braille!!!! I have a dumb question,
but when I copy a file to the thumb drive, in order to read it in
contracted Braille on the MPower, do I need to give it a name
followed by ".brf" or anything, or will the file automatically be
translated into Braille? I want to be sure before I do it
because I don't want to copy it and get garbage on my MPower
instead of Braille!!!!
Thanks again for all your help!! In a way I feel bad because the
only time I post is to ask for help. I'm really learning a LOT
from you all.
Deborah
