Hi,

   when we were testing the FM radio, I used to use some of the spare 
audio cables that we have lying around as aerials.  They've got the same 
plug as headphones (3.5 millimetre jack), only there are plugs on both 
ends of the cables, so you can connect your PC sound card to your monitor 
sound input.  If you ever buy a PC you usually end up with spares.  If you 
try playing around, you'll find that the plug doesn't always have to be 
inserted in the headphone socket to get reception - I found that sometimes 
holding my finger against the socket was enough to get some of the 
stronger stations.

but everything sounds a lot better on headphones anyway, and you get 
stereo if the station signal is good enough.
