Hello all,

Firstly, this email should not be interpreted Along with our projects that
we are currently undertaking to develop new functionality in the KeySoft
application (common on all of the BrailleNote family of products), we are
also conducting an ongoing investigation on many aspects of our existing
functionality and how we might enhance it, which in turn, will improve the
user experience for BrailleNote users around the World. As part of that
investigation, we are researching possibilities in how we might technically
improve the handling and support of Microsoft Word files on the BrailleNote.
However, in order to carry out this investigation in a thorough and
methodical manner, we require your assistance. To ensure that research and
any resulting tests are and can be performed in a timely but detailed
manner, we require as many Microsoft Word documents that you are willing to
share with us as possible. All data sent to us and that contained within
received documents will be treated in confidence and will not be shared
outside Humanware.

It would be useful for us to have documents that you would typically or be
expected to open on the BrailleNote. Documents will be gratefully received
with or without pictures, tables or no tables, created in Word 95, Word XP
or any version in between, irrespective of whether they currently open on
the BrailleNote or otherwise.

To help us in this cause, we have set up an email database to store any
files you choose to send our way. To submit an email to the database,
please send an email to
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
and attached documents and any information provided in the email will be
reviewed by those members of the BrailleNote Development team currently
working on this investigation.

Please do not attempt to enter into any correspondence with Humanware staff
via the above email address as email will not go directly to any inbox and
the database will likely be checked, depending on the current stage of the
investigation, only on a weekly basis. Please continue to direct all email
to Humanware staff, via the normal email addresses.

In the US, technical support can be contacted by sending email to
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
and folks in the UK and Europe can contact technical support at
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
or alternatively, phone your nearest Humanware office or contact the dealer
where Humanware product was purchased if support is required.

Finally, we would ask that, if possible, when submitting a Microsoft Word
document to assist us, please provide the following information:

A. Version of Keysoft being used on BrailleNote.
B. Whether the file opens on your BrailleNote.
C. What version of Microsoft Word was originally used to create the file.

We sincerely thank you for your cooperation on and in this matter and look
forward to hearing from you soon.

Regards,

Dean Jackson
