Hi,
I have played 40+ MB mp3 files on my BN classic, running 5.1 then
6.11. The only problem I had was in 6.11 when the file would
either start or finish, and the BN would lock up as you have
described. This was strange, as huge files were just as likely
to cause it as files less than a megabyte. I doubt there is much
rhyme or reason to the problem, but then again, I do not have KS
7. Just my experiences that sounded similar.

Subject: [Braillenote] size limit for mp3 files on the classics?
Greetings,
A co-worker ran into a problem when trying to play an mp3 file on
his
VoiceNote classic running KeySoft 7. The Voicenote would lock up
to
the point that only a reset would bring it back.
I tried the same file on a PK and an mPower and it played fine.
I split the file into two files and they played on the VoiceNote
just fine.
The original file was 27 minutes long and was done at 44,100 64
kbps mono.
It was about 12 MB in size. Of course, it was on a compact flash
card.
Is there any information somewhere that says what the size and/or
length limit is that the VoiceNote Classics will play?
Thanks,
Richard
