I have occasionally gotten the battery gauge is inaccurate message in error.
I know this happens in specific circumstances, but I can't remember what
they are. Now I feel like I'm in the Dream Hold. Can't remember squat.

Hi all,
I am asking for help with my battery. This morning I went to find out the
charge remaining, and I got a message that said that the gauge was
inaccurate and couldn't tell me the percent. Anyway I tried to follow the
instructions but I have a feeling I'd ruined things. When I pressed F to
drain the batery, I was told to plug the adapter in, but I don't
understand why as the instructions don't mention that. The unit is fully
charged. I am using a classic bp with 32 cells.
Can someone help?
