Hi all:
Ok, I got my GPS installed and working, but I've ran into a
little snag. Until my new receiver comes, I'm using my magellan
serial tracker, which worked brilliantly in my classic. I reset
the receiver type in the gps menu, and it sees it and mostly
works well. However, at random times it will lock up, and when I
press reset with the unit plugged into the GPS receiver, it locks
up even in resetting. When I unplug the receiver and reset, it
does it just fine, resets and all. Why would this be? Probably,
when I get my new receiver, this won't happen.
Meanwhile, from what I've seen of the GPS, I love it! I can't
believe how much more information is there, schools, churches,
grocery stores... I'm coming from using the old version 2 maps
and poi files... big difference!! Great job hw and sendero!!!
