I'm surprised at eow many people don't know about excel but know
a hell lot more about computers than I do. This is just an
observation not a put down to any one.

Hi Paul,
Spreadsheets are not that hard to work with on a pc and if
Humanware could
adapt a program like Moneytalks or develop their own program
BrailleNote
would be just about perfect. This is something that many vendors
could use.

But they might work with them to make it keysoft like.
Otherwise, they
will
have to develop their own. I could go either way as long as I
get one.

Money Talks is a licensed product produced by APH (American
Printing House
for the Blind) and as such is not public domain.
It is not very Keysoft like, and I would venture to say that HW
would not
want to take on someone else's product.

Dear Paul
Would Money Talks be used for budgeting purposes or more for
keeping track
of bills paid etc? Could it be used for both? Sounds like a
great idea
anyway.
Cheers!

Hi, Gang. I have been playing with the money talks program from
APH.
Each transaction is on a separate line and you move between
transactions
with up or down arrow. You move between items in each
transaction with
left
and right arrows. I got to thinking how nice this would be if it
could be
imported into a braille note. I wonder if Humanware could work
with APH to
get a version for the bn? Wouldn't that be great? Money talks
imports and
I
assume, exports quicken interchange files (QIF
files) so that one could just save the information from money
talks and
then
import it into that program if it were on the bn. You could
always have an
updated checking and savings account with you.
Something to consider.
